Colorado Malting Company is located at 2064 County Road 12 South in Alamosa, Colorado. However, this has not always been the home to one of Colorado’s finest Malting Company. In fact, Colorado Malting Company is malting some of Colorado’s most superb malt in what used to be known as Cody’s Dairy. That’s right, the Malt Barn’s history is as amazing as the malt it produces! It wasn’t until 1994 that the “Cody’s Dairy” changed from a dairy farm to specialize only in the crops that used to be grown for feed for dairy cows. As long time growers of Coors barley, the Cody family has always known a thing or two about raising great malt barley in the San Luis Valley. Now, teamed up with some of the most talented brewers and malsters in the industry and barley growers from the San Luis Valley, we truly have something special. One of our sayings is “You can’t truly know barley until you grow barley.”
